1LT Joseph M. DePinto, U.S. Army

Joe DePinto began his military career on 28 May 1986 when he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant into the United States Army’s Field Artillery Branch from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.  He served on active duty from 1986 until 1990, then transitioned to corporate business, but has remained incredibly engaged with the U.S. Army and is very supportive of military causes.  Joe began his illustrious career in the Field Artillery with 1st Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery in the 2nd Armored Division at Fort Hood, Texas, from September 1986 to September 1990.  Duties included Battery Fire Direction Officer, Cannon Platoon Leader, Battery Executive Officer, Battalion S2, and Battalion Special Weapons Officer.  Following the drawdown of forces after the Cold War, Joe transitioned to corporate business, achieving notable success in his most recent position as President and CEO of 7-Eleven, Inc., as well as Chairman of Brinker International. From 2017 until 2025, Joe served as a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (CASA) for Northern Texas, a position which he cherished. Joe was also one of the founding members and remains on the board of the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund, which provides scholarships for children of deceased service members.  He was also a founding member and council member of the George W. Bush Presidential Center Military Service Initiative. Joe DePinto is a humble, selfless, servant leader and credits his success in the corporate world to what he learned in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Field Artillery.  He has brought distinct credit to the King of Battle and continues to strengthen the branch.
