Professional Bio

Chief Warrant Officer Two Eugene J. Hunyadi is a Texas Army National Guard Field Artillery Targeting Technician (131A) serving with the 36th Division Artillery, following prior enlisted service in the U.S. Marine Corps as a military police officer and accident investigator. His assignments and training locations have included MCAS Tustin, California; Houston, Grand Prairie, and Camp Mabry, Austin, Texas; and Fort Sill, Oklahoma, with earlier Marine overseas service recognized by Southwest Asia and Kuwait Liberation medals. He deployed to Germany and Kosovo from May 2023 through March 2024 in support of Operation Joint Guardian/KFOR and later supported the State Partnership Program in Jince, Czech Republic, in 2025. His military education includes Marine Corps law-enforcement and accident-investigation training, Fire Direction Control Specialist, Warrant Officer Candidate School, and the 30-week Field Artillery Technician Warrant Officer Basic Course at Fort Sill, where he earned Superior Academic Achievement and qualification as a 131A. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, three Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, two Joint Meritorious Unit Awards, Navy and Marine Corps unit and good-conduct awards, the Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Non-Article 5 NATO Medal for the Balkans, Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, and Texas humanitarian awards for Hurricane Harvey and civil-disturbance response.
