Alex Wegner

SSG Alex M. Wegner serves as a 13J30, Fire Direction NCO/ LNO Section Chief with Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st of the 121st Field Artillery Regiment (Dark Skies). SSG Wegner enlisted in 2012 as a 13P10 MLRS Fire Direction Specialist and attended BCT and AIT at Fort Sill Ok. In 2018-2019 he deployed to Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates in support of Operations Freedom's Sentinel and Operation Spartan Shield supporting TAAC South’s and Task Force Spartan's areas of operation as a Fire Direction Specialist with Bravo Battery 1-121 FA. Other assignments have included Fire Direction Specialist with Bravo Battery 1-121 FA (2014-2019) BN Fire Direction SGT with HHB 1-121 FA (2019-2021) and as Battery Fire Direction Chief with Alpha Battery 1-121 FA (2021-2023). A native of Kimberly Wisconsin, SSG Wegner is single with no children and has Bachelor's Degree in History and a Minor in Broadfield Social Science from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and currently teaches Social Studies at Seymour Community High School. SSG Wegner has also been employed at the Kimberly Area School District as a Throws Coach for the boys Track and Field team since 2016 assisting the program to 3 State Championships in 2017, 2018, 2019 and a State Runner Up in 2022.
