Volunteer Advisory Panel

Announcing  the new USFAA Volunteer Advisory Panel

As the Field Artillery is ever-changing, so is our membership base. USFAA has realized a need for more input on how we communicate and the type of support we offer to our membership from the younger members of the force. We are currently seeking applicants for the new USFAA Volunteer Advisory Panel.

Ideal Advisory Panel Candidates:

Persons who share the same demographic as our potential new members, E6-04. WO1 & CW2, who are currently serving in the Marine Corps , Marine Corps Reserves, Active Army, or Army National Guard. They will also be mixed between those serving or experienced in light, heavy, and rocket artillery units, etc. Candidates must be current members of the Association and wish to volunteer their time, ideas, and expertise to the mission of the USFAA.

These selected volunteers would meet via Zoom on a bi-monthly basis, moderated by the Executive Director and advise on membership initiatives, professional content for blog, podcast, and social media, recommend marketing initiatives and assist in selecting new store merchandise, etc. They would also serve as an advocate for the Association and the FA Journal among their peers.

Panel members accumulate volunteer hours that can be used toward Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal and can list service on OER, FITREP or NCOER.

The selection process will be completed so that the makeup of the new panel is  one of each of the following:

1 - Marine NCO & Officer

1 - Army NCO & Officer

1 - ARNG NCO & Officer

2 - Warrant Officers

Applications must be submitted by 1 December 2020 for the 2021 Panel selection. Selected panel members will be notified by 15 January 2021.
