Professional Bio
Ms. Leah McIntosh is an Army Civilian with over 20 years of experience serving the DoD and the Army as both a civilian and support contractor. Currently serving as the Deputy Project Manager for the Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) Integration Project Office (PO). Her career began as a Co-op student at Lockheed Martin as a Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Launcher Systems Engineer where she completed her B.S Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mathematics minor, from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She worked as a SETA contractor supporting the Space and Missile Defense Command Cobra Judy Program and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) where she was instrumental in THAAD flight test planning and execution at WSMR. Working full time and traveling, she completed a M.S. in Management, concentration in Logistics Management, from the Florida Institute of Technology. She worked in various capacities as the THAAD PMRF Flight Safety Representative, and as a Ground Test Conductor. In 2009, she accepted a government civilian Test Engineer position in the Program Executive Office (PEO) Missiles and Space Integrated Air and Missile Defense. She was selected for a detailed assignment as the Executive Officer (XO) for the SES Director of the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Command Engineering Directorate. At XO completion, she took a career broadening assignment at PEO Aviation as the Utility Helicopters UH-60L Digital T&E Lead. In 2014, she received a detailed promotional assignment at MDA TC as the Systems Engineering Management Lead for Medium Range Ballistic Missile and Short-Range Air Launched Target programs. At the completion of her detail assignment, she returned as the UH-60V Lead Test Engineer. In 2017, she was selected as the Supervisory Test Lead Engineer managing multiple OSD oversight programs at Precision Fires Rockets and Missiles Systems, currently Strategic and Operational Rockets and Missiles.
