Fellow Artillerymen of the First Infantry Division-We are just over 4 weeks out from our 2013 gathering at Ft Sill/Lawton and if any of you are still contemplating attending I wanted you to know that the Homewood Suites hotel only has 6 rooms left in the original block at the $89 rate. Those rooms go back on the market April 9 so if you're coming call them before next tuesday at 580-357-9800 and be sure to mention that you're with the 1ID Arty Reunion.

We will have a much bigger hospitality room this year stocked up with plenty of refreshments by Ira Whitaker and Pat Roberts. It will be open when you check in on the 7th and remain open thru the 9th. Our schedule for May 8 will start with a live fire demo and briefing in the morning by the 1/17 FA, lunch at the Garcia dining facility and demonstration and tour of the 434th BDE Basic Training area after lunch. May 9th we will have guided tours of the ADA and Ft Sill museums in the morning, a picnic lunch at the Polo Club and guided tour of the FA museum in the afternoon. That evening our banquet will be at the Trophy Room which is a private dining room behind my business. There will be lots of time for everyone to visit and re-connect at the hotel and at the banquet. Be sure to bring pictures and slides and movies if you have them. We'll have a slide projector and if you have old 8mm movies I'm sure I can scrounge up a projector. I'll also have a powerpoint and laptop available.
